Creative Instructional Grants are BACK!
GEF is pleased to announce it will award creative instructional grants to Greene County schoolteachers for the fourth consecutive year. CIG applications will be posted by September 28th, 2010. New 2011 CIG theme: Student Engagement through learning. Each grant applicant is required to attend a new Grant Writing Workshop prior to the December 10th "Final Review" deadline.

3rd Annual Showcase Coming NEW Season! January 29, 2010
Mark your calendars now for the 3rd Annual Showcase of Greene scheduled for January 29, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. in the Raymond Dingledine III Performing Arts Center. This year will showcase many groups, individuals, talents, school groups, and local talent. Lisa Richardson, drama and choir director from the middle school will be this years showcase Director. Auditions will be run through individual schools in October and November with details coming soon. This year the showcase is free and open to the community! Thanks for your generous support in the past few years. Donations will be taken at the door. Limited Seating. If you can't join us, please consider sending in a donation to help our efforts to build the capital campaign fund for improvements to the Raymond Dingledine III Performing Arts Program.

2011 Senior Scholarships Available
GEF is pleased to announce it will continue it’s GEF Senior Scholarship Program. Scholarships are open to any 12th grader at William Monroe High School and are available at the Guidance office beginning December 1, 2010. The application deadline is April 15, 2011. Take Time to Congratulate Creative Instructional Grant 2010 Winners...
GEF is pleased to announce the 2010 winners of the creative instructional grants. Award recipients received checks of $500 each for specific programs that demonstrated student engagement in the classroom. The grant recipients were Tina Arritt, from Greene County Primary School; Jan Helmuth, Jennifer Orr, and Justin Malone from Ruckersville Elementary School.
